Kansas Governor-elect Laura Kelly and her transition team are busy preparing for the upcoming inauguration. But, Kelly says she’s more focused on the work she plans to do for the state.

She said she already knows what she’ll be doing the day after her inauguration.

“When I get up Tuesday morning I’ll be in the office bright and early and work,” Kelly said, “One of the things that I’ve said I’ll do and I will do will be sign an executive order to restore the rights of our LGBTQ community.”

Kelly said some other focuses of her administration will be education and healthcare.
