A 22-year-old woman killed by a stay bullet in Lawrence, Kan., was honored in Tuesday’s Rose Bowl Parade on KSNT.

Leah Brown, of Shawnee, Kan., was one of about 40 dozen organ, eye and tissue donors from across the country remembered on a Donate Life Rose Parade float.

Brown’s image appeared on an intricately designed African-themed float. Brown donated her corneas and tissues, helping at least 50 recipients, according to the Donate Life float website.

Brown and two others died in an October shooting on Massachusetts Street in downtown Lawrence.
