The boil water advisory for Shawnee County Rural Water District No. 2 Consolidated has been lifted.
The advisory was for the Shawnee County Rural Water District 2 Consolidation in Shawnee County, specifically for people located north of 54th Street, and west of Docking Road.
KDHE said the advisory was issued because of a loss of pressure. Failure to maintain adequate pressure could result in a loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination.
Riley Rees, the Consolidated Rural Water District No. 2 District Manager, said on Wednesday that the ban was lifted on Monday, and laboratory testing indicated no evidence of any contamination.
