Slick roads for northern counties, drizzle elsewhere


*A winter weather advisory is in effect through midnight tonight for Republic, Cloud, Washington, Marshall, Nemaha, and Brown counties.*

What We’re Tracking:

  • Freezing drizzle north, drizzle central/south
  • Warmer, sunny through midweek
  • Turning breezy, colder by late Valentine’s Day

Temperatures will fall back into th middle 20s overnight after areas of freezing drizzle north and drizzle cental and south wind down. Skies will become partly cloudy by morning.

Highs on Tuesday will climb into the lower to middle 40s with widespread sunshine and a returning southwesterly breeze.

Stronger southwest winds will boost temperatures into the 50s on Wednesday, again with a mostly sunny sky. However, another cold front will push through by mid-morning on Valentine’s Day (Thursday). The day will start mild, but temperatures will fall along with gusty north winds by late in the day and into the evening, as well.
