What We’re Tracking:
- Mostly cloudy tonight with cooler temperatures
- ‘Slightly’ warmer the next couple of days
- Colder with snow chances this weekend
Clouds will continue to stay in the area with a few breaks possible as we head into the evening hours. This will allow temperatures to drop down into the teens and single digits for lows tonight. Slight winds out of the north will help keep wind chills down into the single digits for most of the area leaving a cold start to your Thursday morning.
Partly cloudy skies will allow temperatures slowly start to warm up on Thursday with the peaks of sunshine. This sunshine will lead temperatures into the upper 20s and low 30s for the area.
Friday warms up a bit more with highs in the 30s for parts of the area and even some low 40s for the southern half. More sunshine for the afternoon will help us warm up before dropping back down for the weekend.
Now for the next winter weather system…
The better chance of accumulating snow looks to be late Saturday night into Sunday. Besides the chance of some more winter weather, temperatures will remain rather cold for this time a year with highs in the upper teens and low 20s to start March.
We will continue to track this system as we get closer to this weekend. Be sure to stay up-to-date with the most recent forecast by coming back to check our website or downloading our weather app!
