What We’re Tracking:
- Flurries, passing clouds tonight
- Chilly start to the weekend, but slightly warmer Sunday
- Arctic blast next week
Areas of light snow showers and flurries will move southeast through and clouds may linger for periods of the night. Temperatures will fall down into the middle to upper 10s by morning.
Temperatures warm up a bit over the weekend with highs in the upper 30s to near 40° in some areas on Saturday. However, even warmer weather arrives for Sunday with more sunshine. Afternoon temperatures will be in the middle to upper 40s by Sunday afternoon.
However, another cold front slides through Monday along with a chance for a few hit-or-miss snow showers. Highs will drop back into the 30s. There are several signs pointing to a major Arctic blast hitting the Central and Northern Plains by the middle of next week. Some of the coldest air of the season along with gusty winds look to arrive by Wednesday.
