Southeast Kansas sheriff under investigation by KBI


A Montgomery County Sheriff is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday following an investigation by Kansas Bureau of Investigation agents. 

Sheriff Robert Dierks was served a summons to appear in court for one count of interference with a law enforcement officer and obstruction, or in the alternative, attempted obstruction and one count of intimidation of a witness and attempt to prevent or dissuade.

The alleged crimes occurred back on January 27th, 2018, involving a DUI arrest in Montgomery County.
