St. Jude Dream Home construction pushing through harsh winter weather

Construction is chugging along at this year’s Topeka St. Jude Dream Home despite the harsh winter weather. The front and garage doors have been installed, the heating system is working and the last of the sheetrock is in place.

Builder Mark Boling, owner of Mark Boling Construction, Inc., says the subcontractors have been really coming together to make sure progress is being made.

“This is a special cause and the sub-contractors, again, they understand that and they are willing to do whatever it takes to make this house happen for St. Jude,” said Boling.

Boling says he plans to have some subcontractors come in ahead of schedule in order to finish in time.

Tickets for the St. Jude Dream Home drawing will go on sale in early April and will be $100 each. The drawing will happen on June 13. The home is expected to be worth nearly $500 thousand.
