Topeka is getting closer to seeing a new flag of its own. But first, there’s more voting to be done.
In October, four flag designs were submitted by community members. Then the public gave feedback on the designs. Designers used the feedback, along with the orginal submissions to create new designs. Soon, people in Topeka will be asked to vote again.
“It’s another vote, but we really want it to be community based,” Lindsay Lebahn, Executive Director for FORGE, said. “And we want everyone to be proud of it. So that one will be a simple, this one or that one. That’s it.”
The voting will start at the beginning of April. People will have a week to vote.
After that, the final flag will be revealed.
