Topeka grocery store encourages donations for Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House says they are always in desperate need of food supplies for their pantry but they especially need donations during the holiday season.

The Ronald McDonald house is asking people to go to the Seabrook Apple Market at 21st and Gage to shop for groceries.

The supermarket will match the food donated up to $1,000.

“Seabrook Apple Market is a hometown store and we like get involved in the community and keep everything in the community, and Ronald McDonald is a good organization,” said Terry Fleer of Seabrook Apple Market.

You can then drop them off at the Ronald McDonald house at 825 SW Buchanan or donate them in the store.

As well as purchasing groceries, you can also purchase Apple Market gift cards to donate.

“The pantry is important all times of the year but especially so at the end of the year. This is when we typically when we run out of things we receive at the holidays,” said CEO and Executive director Mindee Reece.
