Topeka man hurt after car hydroplanes, hits median

A 25-year-old Topeka man was hurt after his car hydroplaned and hit a median barrier wall Wednesday morning. 

The crash happened on I-70 near Wanamaker Rd. in Topeka, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. 

Robert Mees, 25, was going east when his 1997 Ford Crown Victoria hydroplaned and hit the median barrier wall before landing in a ditch, according to KHP. 

Mees was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. 

He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
