Topeka police want the public’s help identifying a suspect who robbed a central Topeka gas station.

A robber armed with a handgun held up the Kwik Shop by Washburn University and College Hill around 9 p.m. Tuesday, police said. The robber was last seen running north from the building with money.

This is the third time the gas station has been robbed in six months, with two previous hits Dec. 20 and July 30.

TPD released two security camera photos Wednesday morning and asked for the public’s help to find the suspect. Along with being dressed in a black hoodie with blue jeans, he was also wearing a blue bandana over his face.

Anyone with information on the suspect is encouraged to contact the Topeka Police Criminal Investigation Bureau at 785-368-9400, Shawnee County Crime Stoppers at 785-234-0007 or make an anonymous tip here.
