Topeka police searching for suspect in attempted Pizza Hut robbery

Police are looking for a robber who left empty-handed after holding up employees outside a southeast Topeka Pizza Hut Monday morning.

The workers told police they were walking to their cars from the Pizza Hut at 2007 SE 29th St. around 12:02 a.m. when a man approached them. The man pulled out a handgun and demanded all of their money. When the victims had no cash to give, the would-be robber turned and ran away on foot. Topeka police said they were not able to locate him.

The suspect is described as wearing:

  • A black hooded sweatshirt.
  • Blue jeans.
  • A black and white mask.
