Topeka Public Schools has had to cancel school several times this year because of winter weather.
District spokeswoman Misty Kruger said the district will add 10 minutes to the school day and will have school on a day originally set aside as a teacher work day.
The district will add 10 minutes to the day starting on Mon. March 18 through Fri. May 17, according to Kruger.
Students will also have school on April 29. The district has used 8 snow days this school year, two more than allotted in the calendar.
Kansas law calculates school attendance based on hours and not days.
