Christmas has come and gone, and many stores are expecting a busy day of returns and exchanges.
Not only will people be looking to make returns or exchanges on those Christmas gifts that may have just missed the mark, some will be eager to spend gift cards or Christmas cash.
Staff at the Toy Store in Topeka say they expect to see all of that, but they don’t expect it to be any busier because of it.
After a hectic period leading up to Christmas, they still expect to get a lot of traffic, but they don’t anticipate the day after Christmas rush that most stores may get.
“The day after Christmas really isn’t that busy,” said store manager Robin Saunders. “We are busy with maybe the children coming in and spending their gift cards. We don’t usually have too many returns, maybe a few and then exchanges.”
Saunders said she doesn’t anticipate too many returns, and now that the holiday rush is coming to an end, she and her staff can focus more on fixing things up around the store.
