Topeka store offering jobs to those affected by government shutdown

News

A local store is helping government employees affected by the shutdown earn some needed cash.

Rally House in Topeka is in need of seasonal help due to the Chiefs’ successful post season run.

So, they are looking to hire government employees to help them keep up.

All government employees need to do is show up to the store with their government ID and they’ll be hired on the spot.

“It’s a great way to connect to our community,” said store manager Lacie Fike. “With the Chiefs going in to potentially the Super Bowl, we are looking to bring people on board and thought this was a great thing to do.”

Fike said most stores in kansas city and the surrounding areas are offering jobs to government workers as well.
