TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) — The Topeka Police Department is investigating a homicide after a woman’s body was found in a hotel room.
On Saturday around 3:15 p.m., Topeka police officers went to the Ramada Inn West at 605 SW Fairlawn on a call about a dead person in one of the rooms.
The investigation that followed revealed that the victim was Sarah Cheyenne Crawford, an 18-year-old white female from Paola.
As the homicide investigation continued, 26-year-old Clarence James Foy was identified as a person of interest. He is also from Paola and is believed to be acquaintance of Crawford’s.
Authorities believe Crawford was killed as the result of an argument between herself and Foy.
