TPD involved in standoff at 19th & Adams

TOPEKA (KSNT) — Around 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Topeka Police were involved in a standoff at 19th & Adams at a mobile home park.

There was a police presence around the brown mobile home pictured above.

Reports said a man was refusing to come out of his trailer in the wake of a domestic dispute and he was threatening to burn down the residence.

Police attempted to talk the man out, a social work counselor was called to help diffuse the situation, and people were advised to stay away from the area until further notice.

By 8:15 p.m. the standoff was over. No one was injured.
