Traffic slowed on I-70 in Topeka after semi-tractor hauling mayonnaise rolls over

Traffic was slowed and an exit of I-70 blocked after a semi-tractor rolled over on its side.

The crash happened around 2:00 pm on Wednesday afternoon at the Rice Rd. exit from I-70 in east Topeka.

A Topeka Fire battalion chief on the scene tells KSNT News that the driver of the truck was not hurt.

He says the truck was hauling jars of mayonnaise.

Kansas Highway Patrol closed the westbound exit from I-70 to Rice Rd. while crews worked to clear the highway.

Traffic is now back to normal in that area.
