What We’re Tracking:
- More sunshine and warmer through midweek
- Rain and thunder likely Thursday and Friday
- Cooler Friday and Saturday
Temperatures will fall back into the middle to upper 40s tonight as skies remain clear, but south winds increase to 10-15mph. Those breezes will start to pick up tonight, but really crank up on Wednesday.
Mostly sunny and warm for the middle day of the week, with highs peaking out in the lower 70s on Wednesday. However, wind will also be on the rise, reaching peak speeds of 20-30mph, gusting to 40mph at times on Wednesday. High fire danger with the winds at that level.
For Thursday, a cold front start to move in from the north and a system approaches from the west, giving us chances for a few showers and storms. That rain chance will continue into Friday as we see the colder air sagging southward into Kansas by Friday and into Saturday.
