Washburn University hosts WIFI Film Festival

Washburn University is hosting the first ever WIFI film festival. It stands for Washburn International Film Institute.

The event brought in almost 2,000 film submissions from more than 90 countries. People gathered over the weekend to watch the best ones. 

They ranged from documentaries to animated shorts.

The keynote speaker was Emmy award-winning fimmaker Allan Holzman. He even debuted his new documentary about DACA immigration at the festival. 

The festival is happening at the University’s White Concert Hall from April 11th to April 13th.
