Police have arrested a 12-year-old in connection to a Wichita child stabbed after an argument over a video game.

Officers say they were called to the 2200 block of South Glendale shortly after 10:30 Saturday night.

When they arrived they found three boys, ages 9,12 and 13. Police say while they were playing a video game, an argument ensued, and a 12 year-old-boy threw a knife at a 9-year-old boy, which caused a minor injury. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Early Sunday morning, officers say they arrested the 12-year-old for aggravated battery and aggravated assault. The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office.
