Woman killed in head-on crash in Geary County

A woman is dead after a head-on collision Sunday afternoon in Geary County. 

A 1995 Dodge Ram was driving north on K-177 about two miles south of I-70, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. The Ram went left of center and struck a southbound 2011 Subaru Outback head-on. 

The driver of Subaru, 31-year-old Kayla Marie Jacobson of Alta Vista, died from injuries in the crash. 

The 66-year-old male driver of the Dodge was life-flighted to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka with serious injuries. 

The KHP report said both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
