Jayhawks win 30th straight conference opener edging Texas Tech

LUBBOCK, Tx. (KSNT) – The #5 ranked Kansas Jayhawks edged #14 Texas Tech 58-57 to open Big 12 play on Thursday night. It’s the 30th straight conference opening victory for KU.

Ochai Agbaji scored the game winning basket for Kansas with 13 seconds remaining in the game. Agbaji led KU with 23 points as the Jayhawks move to 7-1 overall and 1-0 in Big 12 play.

Marcus Garrett added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Kansas.

The Jayhawks host West Virginia on Tuesday.
