36 dogs rescued from home in Olpe

A tip from a concerned neighbor Thursday led the Lyon's County Sheriff's

OLPE, Kan. (KSNT) - A tip from a concerned neighbor led the Lyon's County Sheriff's Department and Unleashed Dog Rescue to a home in Olpe Thursday.

When they walked in they found 36 Rat Terriers in a small living space.

"The size of the space was significantly smaller to the number of animals from other hoarding situations we've been in," said Unleashed Social Media Coordinator Rebecca Taylor.

After the dogs were taken from the home, they received the care they needed.

Some of the dogs have already been adopted while others are still being rehabilitated before going up for adoption.
