Plenty of sunshine for the weekend

This week is shaping up to be a nice one. Cloud cover continues to decrease throughout the day as we peak in the mid to upper 30s this afternoon. A low pressure system stays well to our south, only bringing precipitation as far north as Oklahoma. So a nice dry weekend is in store! Mostly sunny skies continue into Sunday putting us in the upper 30s, and winds stay on the calmer side, under 10 mph. Lows stay on the chilly chilly side this weekend though, mornings look to stick in the teens.

By the start of the work week, we bump back up into the 40s, with Tuesday noticeably warmer near 50 with a few more clouds moving in. Wednesday, we cool back off into the 40s as our next system comes in. We'll see a chance at some showers Wednesday. On Thursday, it brings us a chance for a rain and snow mix across the area, but highs remain in the 40s. The wintry mix possibility continues into Friday morning, and highs drop back into the upper 30s, but clouds break out in the afternoon following the cold front as it pushes through.
