Spotty rain chances midweek; even warmer weather ahead

Much of northeast Kansas will only see a few passing clouds for tonight as temperatures bottom out in the low to mid 50s. However, there is the ever-so-slight chance of a spotty shower or two by daybreak on Tuesday.

A mostly sunny sky for Tuesday will go along with south-southeast wind at 5 to 15 mph. That will result in some warmer temperatures as highs maxed out in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

A few showers and weak thunderstorms will be possible late Tuesday evening into the overnight hours. Otherwise, just some more clouds will build in as low temperatures hover right around 60°.

A mix of sun and clouds for Wednesday could give way to a spotty shower or two, but it’s just a slight rain chance. Wednesday will be another warm one though with high temperatures in the 80s area-wide.

Thursday and Friday will be dry with some sunshine and highs in the 80s.

The best chance of rain looks to hold off until Saturday with scattered showers and storms as temperatures only max out around 80°.

There is the chance that some lingering showers carry over into early Sunday morning. Even as things dry out during the day on Sunday, it will be cooler with highs just in the 70s.

The 70s stick around for next Monday, as well, to go along with another chance for a few showers and storms.
